New Spring JDramas + Old JDramas + Specials~ *UPDATED - may 22*

Cuz michelle has nothing better to do...(well, there's always hwk... XD but alas, we're talking about michelle here~) so~ i decided to put together a list of all the dramas i'm watching~ which actually makes no sense at all since all the spring JDramas are halfway through already~ o wellz, years from now when i see this post~ i'll smile~ cuz it looks cool...(or it'll finally hit me why i ended up being a "dim sum mui"....cuz i spend my freetime rating dramas based on eye-candy XD)
it's all based on 1st epi's...cuz the only drama i've been following closely is kurosagi~ haven't even watched the 2nd epi of busu yet~ i'm sorry shige~!

Spring 2006 JDramas
Shichinin no Onna Bengoshi
actually pretty good~ not really realistic though, since I really doubt that many lawyers actually venture off themselves to solve cases, i mean, what are the police for then?
1st epi was about a murder case involving a women who was charged of killing her lover (who had a wife) at a TV station. The main character (ya..i don't bother remembering names...or even trying to find out what they are in the first place +_+) believes that the women is innocent but the police wouldn't help her cuz they think they've already found the right criminal, so she goes to the TV station to find clues herself.
I thought some of the technology was stretching it a bit...first of all, they caught some voices on a video tape and they managed to clear it up so much that you can hear what they're saying and even the sound of the stabbing. lol, ya right.
And also at the end when the zoom-oin to magnify something in a video..lol, again, that must be some super-high quality camera for them to be able to zoom in that much and still make out faces...XD

-the older lawyer who owns the firm...who is she~?! i can't remember...itz bugging me that i don't remember @_@....i thought she was midori from ya-ya-yah shows...but then again, she doesn't....

Bengoshi no Kuzu
kindda boring...since there's two lawyer dramas out this season, i'd say Onna Bengoshi is much better. The cases weren't appealing and as shallow as this may sound...the cast weren't really what I'd call 'eye-candy'. Then again, how often do I even use this phrase? lol, not much, think this is the first time XD
The first epi was about a women getting sexually harassed by her boss, and a newbie lawyer gets the case. He's new to the firm and is partnered with someone that appears to be like a kuzu (?). Ya, so he totally doesn't look like a lawyer, neither does he act like one (just think of a thug and add some H-ness to him, yupz, that's him~) So basically it just talks about them trying to solve the case while the kuzu lawyer does random stuff that's seemingly unrelated to the case, but in the end we realize that he's really smart and had everything planned out etc etc. stuff like that...
I didn't find it all that appealing, so I'm just gonna watch one or two more epi's and i'll see if it gets any better...(lol, nobuta took 3 epi's before i got hooked...so i thought i'd give everything a fair chance...XD)

Umm...to be honest...10 minutes in and i realized that i was watching epi 2...lol, so that's why nothing made much sense XD

EDIT: okies~ finally watched 1st epi~ and it wasn't as bad as i thought~ as weird and exageratted as it was~ it was pretty entertaining~
basically, 1st epi introduced the characters and how the cowboy dude (watched it last night and i already forgot all the names +_+) landed in the city to find a girl~ there's a bunch of girls in the city by the name of "Angel Heart" (?) (i don't remember the club's name either T_T) and they dance para para (thought that was considered 'out' already~?)
the main girl (only know her as maruko form nobuta XD) has a catchphrase she uses all the time and it's "shi ne" (?) (lol, i learned a new japanese word~ shi ne shi ne shi ne) anywayz, she keeps saying that to her friend and the friend got really depressed and wanted to commit suicide etc etc
cowboy saves the day~ we learn our lesson of never telling out friends to "go die" cuz although we don't really mean it, the person' hearing it sometimes interprets the message wrong~

Iryu [Team Medical Dragon]
I actually only watched half of epi 1 and then gave up cuz it was pretty boring for me...i think i like light-hearted dramas more. This one's way too serious. But, a few weeks later a decided to at least finish watching since i DLed it. And it was actually ok, i think making through the first 1/2 hour was the key XD
So basically, ryu (ya...i admit it, i didn't even bother to look at his name, my eyes kindda just slurred over his name when i was reading the subs XD) was a really great doctor but is now living in a shack cuz he refused to leave a developing country when his hospital's team retreated. So he was fired. Now, this doctor who wants to prove her hypothesis or something wants ryu to help her perform an intricate heart surgery. If he suceeds then she can become a professor.
I just thought the operations they performed in the show were pretty outrageous. I even if they were true, like all jdramas, it's so exaggerated.

Oishii Puropozu
It was ok. Nothing spectacular yet, but it feels like a light-hearted drama, so i like it~
1st epi was basically about a rich guy coming back to japan and he's trying to close down an italian(?) restaurant that the girl happened to be a chef in. he was going to fire all the staff and reopen the restaurant as a 3-star restaurant or something...so, they make a bet: the girl was going to cook a meal for the guy's friend and if she likes it, then he will reconsider whether or not he was going to close the restaurant and fire all the staff etc.

- evil doctor from N's Aoi~ playing the manager...

Primadam
Now this was a surprise. I was only watching cuz yuto was from JE, and , lol, therefore i must support. But i realized that this is a really nice drama. Mainly because the main character is so optimistic, it makes me envy her~ i wanna learn to be like that~ I think if you have such an outlook in life, everything will be great~
1st was basically about the main chracter, i think her name was kana, she used to love ballet as a kid and was even planning to go to ballet school. But her parents ran into some economic troubles and wasn't able to let her go. She's now a 'housewife' who works in a fast food restaurant. She watches a ballet performance one day and sees her old ballet buddy who was now a very famous retired ballet dancer. A ballet studio opens across from the fast food chain in which she works and this rekindles her passion for ballet. She becomes a cleaning lady at the studio and watches ppl dance ballet. The teacher also teachers her once in a while too. Yuto is the retired ballet dancer's son. He is mocked for dancing ballet and he hates his mother for forcing him do much to practise. He finds the new ballet studio's methods of teaching very interesting and lingers there rather than returning home to the more 'professional' studios etc.

Top Caster

ok, so just watched it last night~ and everyone says the story's great and the cast is great etc...but personally, i don't know many japanese stars, lol, so cast doesn't affect me too much~
the story wasn't anything special, just reminds me of News no Onna. I think the only thing that kept me going was the dude from HYD~ the camera keeps panning to him even if he says nothing XD I'm think he looks cute~ so, good job camera guy~ you kept me awake half the time~
the first epi was basically about this top news reporter returning to her old station and takes charge in everything. She appears to be very driven to make her news the highest rating possible, and she doesn't care what she has to do in order to achieve that. But of-course, that's just what it seems like~ in this epi, a girl who's about to marry a really rich guy is being accused of pushing his old bf down the stairs, and so the news caster actually goes to help her find proof that she wasn't at the scene of the crime when the event happened etc.

- the dude who was in HYD~ the one in F4 who's family runs some tea ceremony thing~ lol, i though he was cute~
- the v-principal from gokusen...as some producer dude at the station~

Haven't watched at all...

EDIT: ok, watched it..and it wasn't all that bad, i guess. rocker tomboy wants to become a ...airline stewardess(?) cuz the guy she likes said that he wanted to see her in the uniform. And as all typical dramas turn out, the guy found another girl etc. But ueto aya still continues with the training even though she knows she's not really fit for the job cuz she doesn't want to admit defeat etc.
Ryo's character is exactly the same as 1 litres as everyone said...maybe a little less 'cool' he's an engineer (?)

Haven't watched yet... think i was 2 minutes in~ and i really like it~ it was just amusing to see the ppl trying to act like the cartoon charaters XD

EDIT: I realized that it's just a combination of the cartoon episodes all jumbled into one. So, it's pretty random, hard to summarize... ppl said the part where the kids were crying was touching... +_+ but all i could see was that mureko had straw in her hair XD

overall~ i think it was a really fun watch~ (and shige mentioned in his Jweb that he watched it~ so it must be GOOD, no matter how i rate it~!! XD)

I wouldn't have bothered if koichi wasn't there...and to be honest, if it wasn't for him, this series would probably suck~! (ok ok, i admit it, i only watched 1 epi so far) Kyoko Fukuda annoyed the heck out of me~ @_@

I didn't really like this show at first...the 1st epi was kindda boring~~ until chibi pi showed up~!! he's just a small character though~ but i'm actually up to epi 4 now~ it's pretty good. they're just randomly solving mysteries~ and pi is just there to look adorable ^_^ but also be prepared for some blood etc +_+

Sore wa, Totsuzen Arashi no you ni
boring~~~ i love pi~ but it totally doesn't make sense...there was no chemistry and the love pi and the older women had was sudden alright (note the name XD) they hate each other..and then practically the next day the admit their undying love for each other... +_+ where's the transition? I think I gave up on this somewhere around epi 4...
